5:30am - Sounds of an elephant walking into the bathroom...aka, Dylan. He walks so hard!
I lay him back down and say he needs to sleep longer.
Walking out of Dylan's room I hear a little girl voice, "mooooommm". It's Cadence, she was woken by the stampede. :) I tell her to go back to sleep. She asks how long. I say 1 more hour (knowing it would be a miracle if that happened!)
I lay back in bed. It is quiet for a minute or two and then I hear whispers coming from the girls' room. Cadence keeps shushing Isabelle to talk quieter. I can tell that Isabelle has crawled into Cadence's bed and they are whispering to one another.
It was so fun to hear them together talking, thinking they were getting away with something. :)
I really hope as the girls get older they are great friends and have many more mornings like this!
Blogging only so that I can print a book each year and watch my kids look through and laugh remembering stories!

Backyard Camp-out
After Cadence's Christmas performance my parents stayed the night at our house so that my dad could have a camp-out in our backyard with Dylan. Earlier in the afternoon Dylan got the tent all set up (along with air mattress). He was super excited about spending the night outside and being allowed to go pee in the bushes if he had to go during the night. :)

Pallet Project Featured!
I was featured in a blog that I follow that is called road kill rescue. It is site that features projects that people create from free or curbside treasures. First time ever being featured on another blog site...kinda fun. :)

Jill from Jill Roberts was inspired to create a wood wall hanging to provide a rustic backdrop for her framed photos. Jill scored her materials for free when she found some pallets in an alley.
Jill’s sweet son removed all the nails and tore apart the pallets, and then Jill arranged and cut the wood pieces to create her desired pattern. Once the pieces were all attached, Jill hung the finished product on the wall and added framed pictures of her precious children. The wood backdrop provides a great focal point above the bed and looks awesome paired with Jill’s frames.
