Snow!!

This weekend we headed to the snow, stayed the night in Flagstaff. It was a perfect snow play day, the sun was out and no wind. The kids had a great time and it was fun to have them all old enough to just enjoy playing...no complaining. :)

Way to live life...

Love what this says and hope to be this person one day...

I hope you've met at least one Kingdom person in your life. They are surrendered people. You sense that life is OK at their core. They have given control to another and are at peace. A Kingdom person lives for what matters, for life in its deepest sense. There's a kind of gentle absolutism about their lifestyle, a kind of calm-freedom. Kingdom people feel like grounded yet spacious people. Whatever they are after, they already seem to be enjoying it-and seeing it in unlikely places. Kingdom people make you want to be like them. Kingdom people are anchored by their awareness of God's love deep within. [Richard Rohr]

Fun Pictures

I found a hammock at a yard sale this last week. The kids have loved playing on it, the one morning they cuddled up and Dylan read books to Cadence. :)
 Being silly...

We were really happy to have Aunt Michelle with us for a few days. The kids always love having her full attention and another person to play with. :)

For my birthday Mark bought me a vintage cruiser bike and made me a wood basket (along with Dylan's help). I love it. It was the perfect gift!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning I woke up with strep throat and felt awful. I was awake long enough to see the kids open their gifts and was back to bed...bummer
The kids had a great morning opening gifts!
New rolller skates for Cadence and a large cardboard color rocket ship for Isabelle

Dylan got a new BMX bike!
Hula hoop!

We headed over to Mark's parents house for dinner and Christmas. I still wasn't feeling good but didn't want to miss out so I curled up on the sofa for most of the evening. Needless to say that since I wasn't feeling well...and Mark isn't a fan of taking lots of pictures there weren't any of them opening gifts :(. But it was a nice evening and the kids got lots more of great stuff!
