Snow Play

We went to Flagstaff overnight on Sunday to Monday with Maggie, Israel & Kati.

It snowed the whole time we were playing on Monday. The kids had so much fun!

Taking a rest

Isabelle was wrapped & bundled asleep inside my jacket almost the whole time we played.

The girls had lots of fun together.




The top video is of Dylan & Maggie going down the hill and the bottom video is of Dylan going down the "big" hill.

On the drive home Mark and I start to hear some quiet crying, we turn to see Dylan buring his head into his stuffed animal crying because he was so sad our trip was done and the fun was over. It was so sad.

Do you think this is a good idea?

"Mom, do you think this is a good idea?" is what I hear from Dylan as I hear the steps of little feet coming towards the kitchen where I am cleaning up after dinner. I turn to see Isabelle in the play shopping cart and can't help but smile and then quickly say..."no, I don't think that is a very good idea for her to be in there".

It was so innocent, just taking her for a ride and she was loving it.

Sewing

I've been sewing and doing more crafty type projects over the last few months. I learn as I go & read blogs to get ideas. :)

This was my first try at doing a purse. I'm happy with the way it turned out but definatly learned how to do a few things differently for the next time.

I made a bunch of tutu's and tried to sell them at a couple craft fairs...and won't be doing that again. I have a handful of them at a boutique, we'll see if they sell. This is the last of them that I made, I tried a different color than pink but it wasn't a seller. :)

I just bought this shirt for $1.50! It was a strange shape at the bottom and didn't give much form. I've been reading a lot of blogs about refashioning clothes so thought I would give it a try. (If interested in a really great blog on refashions check out http://mymamamadeit.blogspot.com/ she is amazingly creative!)

Sorry for the really bad photo's...but you get the idea. I took the sides in & made a belt out of leftover material that I made my duvet cover from.

Hope I inspire someone to go create something. If I did let me know what you did!

Isabelle - 6 months

The last few weeks have been filled with a lot of first's for Isabelle. She started playing with toys & gets excited about it. She doesn't laugh but she lets out this loud grunt when she gets excited. She has only lauged twice and both times it was when Dylan was playing with her.

She started to sit up on her own a couple days ago. She stays up for about 5 minutes and then eventually falls over.

Took her first swing ride in our frontyard last week. She was very content with Cadence pushing her..and Cadence loved being able to "take care" of her as well.

Has been trying to get the hang of using a sippy cup, but doesn't quite get it yet.

Sits up at the table with the rest of us for her meals. She just started eatting 3 meals a day now and likes most foods...I'm making her baby food like it did with the rest of the kids. She also really like Cheerios.

She has really changed a lot over this last month, it's fun to have her a little bit older and able to interact with Dylan & Cadence more. I can only imagine how it will be when she starts crawling around!
