Big Eater

I was looking thru my pictures and forgot I had taken this...we went out to breakfast a few weeks ago. Mark had gotten up to use the restroom when our food arrived. As soon as the plates were down on the table, Cadence moved to Mark's spot and started to eat his food. I think the plate of food was as big as she is.

Birthday Party

Cadence and Dylan both had their birthdays over this last week. We had a party last weekend, it was pirate themed with a treasure hunt with the kids. I think all the kids had a good time...a bunch of water fun, a good bbq lunch, homemade cupcakes (thank you rochelle), lots of great gifts and way too much sugar!

how great is this picture of Maggie, holding the squirt gun upside down with all the water running out :)

Dr Visit

Cadence had her 2 year check up today she is 27 pounds and 35 inches tall putting her in at 76% for her height and 37% for her weight.
She got a little bored while waiting for the doctor...so this is what she did for entertainment. :)

more crafts

I've been doing a few craft projects and Mark wanted to get in on some sewing. I gave him a little lesson and he was a natural.

I bought these little bags from the dollar store to use for their individual diaper bags for church, etc. I added the little embellishments with the girls initials (Mark made Isabelle's). Cadence loves carring her purse around.

I also embroidered these little coasters.

Big Girls!

I got these really great pictures of Isabelle today. She is now 11 weeks old and doing great. She is into a good sleep routine, going usually for about 4 hours between feedings. I've adjusted to having 3 kids (it was pretty rough at first) and we are in a nice schedule of life. :)

Michelle came for a visit this last weekend and the kids had so much fun with her. Cadence loved wearing her high heeled shoes around the house. It was great to see her and have time together.

(I love her stance on this picture)
Picture below is her trying to be like big brother with his backpack and shoes on.

Rainy Days

I love rainy days.
The big tree kept us girls dry while dylan ran up and down the street

Cadence was scared of the umbrella...and then I realized that she hadn't ever seen one before. :)She would cry and run away every time Dylan would try to walk with her to keep her dry.

It was a great morning of play

Full Life

Yesterday I heard someone say this and it resonated with me...
"Just beyond the fear is a extraordinary life waiting to happen"

Projects

I have been doing a few projects at the house since we have moved. Since I have less cabinet space, I've come up with some other options for storage and supplies. I found this idea online and adjusted it to fit my space.

I put a ad on craigslist to see if anyone had a free crib that they didn't want anymore...one that was broken or unwanted. I got a few responses and this is the one that I picked up. I just needed one of the side rails for the project.

I cut it down to the size that I wanted & painted it. It now hangs on my wall and holds all my craft supplies. I got all the wire bins and cans at Goodwill. I put dresser handle pulls to hold the cans and used wire to hold some of the wire bins and others had handles already that hooked around. The whole thing probably cost about $5 and I love that it is on the wall and out of the way.

I'm still looking for a container for the last hook for all my buttons. :)

I also got this off of craigslist. It had a natural top with painted dark blue drawers, cost $10 (thanks dad for picking it up for me). I put a fresh coat of black paint on and got the drawer pulls from Ikea (6 for $2.99). It holds all my office papers and desk supplies. I really like the way it turned out.

Dylan of course has been helping with other projects. He did my sanding and some painting, such a great helper.
